German ambassador thanked for efforts
President Nguyen Minh Triet yesterday received German ambassador Christian-Ludwig Weber-Lortsch, who has finished his term in Viet Nam.
On the same day, Weber-Lortsch had a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the German ambassador and embassy’s significant contribution to enhancing the bilateral relationship in the past few years, particularly by increasing the two-way trade turnover and attracting German investors to Viet Nam.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his hope that the German Government would continue to provide ODA capital to Viet Nam as well as help construct a metro network in HCM City and establish a German university in Viet Nam.
Dung wished the ambassador luck in his next mission, and the ambassador thanked Dung for his remarks and affirmed that he would remain a good friend to Viet Nam. — VNS
