Ha Noi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Thursday received a visiting delegation from the Lao Health Ministry, headed by Minister Ponmek Dalaloi.

Deputy PM Dung agreed upon cooperation between the two health ministries in preventive medicine, especially the sending of Vietnamese experts and medical equipment to help Laos during the up-coming Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Dung expressed his support for Viet Nam's plan to continue to help train Lao medical workers at university and post-graduate levels.

Minister Ponmek Dalaloi briefed his host about his working visit to Viet Nam, which is aimed at learning from its experiences in holding the ASEAN Summit.
