Foreign investment rises 17.2 percent in ten months


Ha Noi, Oct. 27 (VNA) - According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, 579 foreign direct invested (FDI) projects valued at 1.74 billion USD were licensed in the first ten months of the year, an annual rise of 17.2 percent.

 

In October alone, the country lured 62.8 million USD from foreign investors, who invested in 28 projects. The month also saw the disbursement of 220 million USD in FDI, which brought total FDI disbursement in the Jan-Oct period to 2.37 billion USD or a 5.3 percent year-on-year rise.

 

ODA-sourced projects with a combined capital of over 2.1 billion USD were licensed in the past ten months. The figure included more than 1.9 billion USD in loans and 212 million USD in non-refundable aid
