Papua New Guinean leader admires Viet Nam's achievements
Port Moresby, Nov. 9 (VNA) - Governor General H.E Sir Paulias Matane, Kt of Papua New Guinea called Viet Nam an important country in the region and said he admired Viet Nam's socio-economic achievements.
The Governor General told Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Hoang An, who presented his credentials on Tuesday, that Papua New Guinea wants to exchange knowledge with Viet Nam of food security, coffee development, aquaculture, unemployment rate reduction of small- and medium-sized enterprises, poverty reduction and epidemic prevention.
The Vietnamese Ambassador conveyed best wishes from President Tran Duc Luong and other Vietnamese leaders to H.E Sir Paulias Matane.
"The Vietnamese Government and people will always attach great importance to the development of friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Papua New Guinea within the bilateral framework, and hope that both countries will enhance cooperation in various domains, especially economics, trade and investment," the Vietnamese diplomat assured the Guinean leader.
