Anniversary of Viet Nam-Mongolia diplomatic ties marked
Ha Noi, Nov. 15 (VNA) - The Viet Nam-Mongolia Friendship Association held a get-together in Ha Noi on Monday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (Nov. 17, 1954-Nov. 17, 2004).
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phu Binh and Mongolian Ambassador to Viet Nam Baasanjav Ganbold were present at the function.
President of the Friendship Association Hoang Minh Thang reviewed the friendship between Viet Nam and Mongolia, the foundation of which was laid by President Ho Chi Minh during his visit to Mongolia in July 1955 and Mongolian Chairman of Ministers' Council Yu Tsedenbal's visit to Viet Nam in December, 1959.
