Viet Nam to attract 4 billion USD of FDI this year
Ha Noi (VNA) - With an increasing FDI inflow in November,
By Nov. 20, the country had attracted 3.77 billion USD in FDI capital, a 12.6 percent increase over the plan. The figure included 1.98 billion USD in registered capital from 630 newly-licensed FDI projects and a combined addition of 1.79 billion USD from 411 operational projects.

According to Phan Huu Thang, Director of the Foreign Investment Department, his department has also received applications for 41 investment projects with a total registered capital of 2 billion USD.
Meanwhile, 2.6 billion USD in FDI has already been disbursed this year or 95 percent of the plan, a 6.1 percent year-on-year increase. The figure is expected to reach 2.85 billion USD this year, surpassing the target of 2.75 billion USD.
The FDI sector continued taking the lead in exports with an estimated export value of 720 million USD in November (excluding the crude oil export), bringing the export turnover in the first eleven months of this year to 7.78 billion USD, a 36.9 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
Ha Noi has, so far this year, attracted 1.01 billion USD in FDI, a 526 percent year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, the FDI projects grossed a turnover of 945 million USD, a 10 percent increase; and their capital disbursement reached 20 million USD, a 17 percent increase.
