Overseas people's love towards domestic artists
Nhan dan Newspaper: Many overseas Vietnamese people in France and the UK have expressed their warm welcome towards domestic artists when these artists came to their performances there. They have also sent donation to the poor in the country.
Recently, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Tam Chinh, who is head of the Vietnam Circus Federation, has led a group to France for a month-long performance. Hundreds of people have come to see the performances which were judged as being attractive and imbued with the national identity.
During their stay in France, Vietnamese circus artists held exchanges with overseas people. Overseas Vietnamese not only expressed their warm feelings towards their homeland but also gave their donation to Agent Orange victims.
After the performing tour to France, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Tam Chinh came to the UK for co-operation between the two countries in the field. She and British artists reached a Memorandum of Understanding which touches upon the invitation to Vietnamese artists for performance in the UK and British artists' performance in Vietnam in 2005 and the following years.
Last year, overseas Vietnamese in the UK have contributed to the Fund for the Poor. Their deeds have been appreciated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front./.
