Deputy PM Vu Khoan receives US National Security Council's Asian chief
Ha Noi (VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan received Asia chief of the US National Security Council Michael Green in Ha Noi on Feb. 4.
Khoan and Michael Green exchanged views on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region and issues relating to the Viet Nam-US relationship. They also discussed measures to promote mutual understanding and bilateral relations on the 10th anniversary of the normalisation of bilateral ties.
While in Viet Nam, Michael Green, who is also the US President's Special Assistant for the NSC, was received by Foreign Minister Nguyen Dy Nien, and Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Doan Manh Giao. He had working sessions with the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission and the Foreign Ministry's American Department.
All the meetings took place in a frank and constructive atmosphere./.
