PM receives high-ranking Algerian military official

Ha Noi (VNA) - Prime Minister Phan Van Khai received visiting Chief of Staff of the Algerian National People's Army Lieut. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah in Ha Noi on Feb. 23. The PM highlighted the friendship between Viet Nam and Algeria in their past struggles for national liberation as well as in the present national construction and wished his guest a successful visit.

The Algerian general said he believed his Viet Nam visit would contribute greatly to promoting the cooperative ties between Algeria and Viet Nam and to peace and stability in the region and the world at large./.
