The Vietnamese Government will create favourable conditions for Vietnamese and Philippine businesses to boost mutually beneficial cooperation, Prime Minister Phan Van Khai said while receiving visiting Secretary of Agriculture of the Philippines, Atty Arthur C. Yap, and his entourage, on Feb. 28.
PM Khai welcomed the delegation and noted with satisfaction the fine development of the relations between the two countries.
In addition to food import and export, the two countries should boost cooperative ties in agriculture, including bio-technology, with the aim of raising product quality and competitiveness, he said.
The joint committee of the two countries should create solutions to increase two-way trade value, he added.
The Philippine Secretary of Agriculture Atty Arthur expressed sincere thanks to Viet Nam for its fine sentiments towards and active support for the Philippines over the past, and said he particularly wished to share experiences with Viet Nam in food safety ensurance. He noted that numerous avenues could be explored for the benefit of both his country and Viet Nam, especially in agriculture and fisheries./.
