US group to transfer black shrimp rearing technology to Viet Nam
Ha Noi (VNA) - The US's INVE group is studying the possibility of transferring technology to rear high-yield and disease-resistant black shrimp to Viet Nam.
A working session on the issue was held in Ha Noi recently between INVE President Flor Indigne and Vietnamese Deputy Fisheries Minister Nguyen Viet Thang.
INVE proposed the setting up of a joint venture in Viet Nam. MOANA, a subsidiary of INVE, will offer advanced technology to Vietnamese counterparts along with shrimp larvae taken from Hawaii. The larvae will be nursed to breed in Viet Nam.
Thang pledged that the ministry would support and create favourable conditions for enterprises to produce high-quality bred shrimp in Viet Nam.
INVE will meet a number of Vietnamese enterprises to discuss the establishment of the future joint venture.
