Viet Nam gastronomy week launched in Thailand

(VNA) - A Viet Nam gastronomy week is running at the Sofitel Khon Kaen Hotel in Khon Kaen, a northeastern province of Thailand.

Around 30 traditional dishes of Viet Nam's former imperial capital of Hue, including spring rolls, fried fish with noodles and scallions in a charcoal brazier, sweet and sour grapefruit salad, and beef noodle soup, are to be introduced from Mar. 5-8.

Additionally, musical performances are being given by Vietnamese artists living in Thailand.

Khon Kaen, around 450 km from Bangkok, has a population of approximately 2 million, including a large group of Vietnamese. Many Vietnamese students have attended the Khon Kaen University.
