Viet Nam, Germany sign Technical Cooperation Agreement


Ha Noi (VNA) - Viet Nam and Germany signed an agreement on technical cooperation for 2004 in Ha Noi on Mar. 10. Signatories were Vietnamese Deputy Minister for Planning and Investment Nguyen Bich Dat and German Ambassador to Viet Nam Webwer Lortsch. Under the agreement, Germany will provide Viet Nam with 8 million EUR in non-refundable aid to carry out four projects.

Of the sum, 2.5 million EUR will be spent on a rural development project in the Central Highlands province of Dac Lac; 1.5 million EUR on the fund for research and experts; 2 million EUR on a technical cooperation programme in support of forestry and biodiversity programmes; and 2 million EUR on the establishment of a wetland biodiversity reserve in the southern province of Soc Trang./.
