Ha Noi (VNA) - Viet Nam is hoping to rake in 1.2-1.4 billion USD from textile and garment exports to the US in the first half of this year, Deputy Trade Minister Le Danh Vinh has said.
The trade official based his projection on the growth rates, which were reported at between 20-40 percent for different categories of products.
Vinh also mentioned the US's decision to reduce and eventually abolish quota fees as an advantage to enable Vietnamese producers to raise their competitiveness against other rivals in this potential market.
Viet Nam's total textile and garment export quota to the US is estimated at around 1.7 billion USD for this year./.
