National Assembly Chairman visits Belgium and European Parliament
Brussels (VNA) - Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An arrived in Brussels, Belgium, on March 16, for official visits to Belgium and the European Parliament (EP). Chairman An is a guest of Speaker of the Belgian House of Representatives Hermn Decroo, and EP President Josep Borrell Fontelles.
The Vietnamese legislative leader was given a grand welcoming ceremony at Brussels airport by Jean Mare Delizee, First Deputy Speaker of the Belgium House of Representatives; Roelants du Vivier, President of the External Relations Commission of the Belgium Senate, and Mare Tarabella, First Deputy Head of the EP mission for relations with Southeast Asia and ASEAN countries.
Later the same day, Chairman An held working sessions with President of the EP International Trade Commission Enrique Baron Crespo, President of the EP Economic and Monetary Commission Perrevenche Beres, and President of the External Relations Commission Almar Brok, at EP headquarters in Brussels.
In the evening, EP Vice President, Sylvia Kaufmann, hosted a banquet in honour of Chairman An and his entourage./.
