Religious dignitaries get involved in humanitarian work
Binh Phuoc (VNA) - Religious dignitaries in the southern Binh Phuoc province have participated in numerous humanitarian activities, helping improve the people's living conditions, said the provincial Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee at a meeting with the dignitaries on March 15.
The committee especially praised their assistance for the poor, street children, lonely old people, and ethnic minority people in remote areas.
Religious followers in the province have helped build hundreds of houses for the poor, opened classes for poor children, provided underprivileged people with healthcare and educational services, and encouraged people to change their lifestyles.
The dignitaries said they will continue to work for both their religion and the people. They expressed their gratitude to the Party and State for respecting and creating favourable conditions for religious activities in the locality. They expressed their hope that there will be more regular meetings among religions to exchange experiences in getting believers take part in patriotic role model movements, and live their lives according to the gospel among the nation, for the happiness of all people.
