Vietnam and RoK National Assemblies exchange experiences
(VNA): Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Phuc Thanh on March 18 received a visiting delegation of the Legislative and Judicial Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The delegation, headed by the committee's Chairman Choi Yeon Hee, will study the legislative and lawyer training systems in Vietnam.
Mr Thanh expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to boosting mutual understanding between the two National Assemblies and enhance friendship and co-operation between the two countries in many fields. Co-operation between the two legislative bodies has been strengthened since their chairmen exchanged visits in 2003 and 2004.
He praised Vietnam-RoK relations in the recent past and said the RoK has been one of Vietnam's leading partners in trade and investment.
Mr Choi Yeon Hee said that the RoK was ready to share experiences in legislation, and judicial and inspection work with Vietnam. He highly regarded Vietnam's economic achievements and expressed his hope that the country would soon become a developed country and have a worthy position in the region. He said he believed that together with economic relations, the two countries would expand their co-operation to other fields.
