Korean people love Vietnam: President Roh
(VNA): President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Roh Moo-hyun affirmed the ever-growing relations between Vietnam and the RoK, saying he himself and the Korean people have strong feelings for Vietnam.
Receiving Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Tien Van after his presentation of a letter of credentials on April 7, President Roh said the RoK respects the Vietnamese people's struggle for national independence, and appreciates Vietnam's role in regional affairs as well as its potential in terms of economic and human development.
The president affirmed his country's commitment to boost the multi-faceted bilateral relations and support Vietnam's bid for WTO membership.
He repeated his invitation for Vietnam's Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh to visit the RoK.
Ambassador Pham Tien Van expressed his hope that the RoK would continue to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of the past wars and assist its international integration./.
