Former New Zealand PM supports Viet Nam's bid to join WTO


Ha Noi (VNA) -- Former New Zealand Prime Minister Mike Moore expressed his support for Viet Nam's bid to join the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

He also acknowledged Viet Nam's tremendous efforts in talks and in building and completing a system of laws in conformity with WTO regulations and principles.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan received the former PM in Ha Noi on April 11.

The two sides focused their discussions on the process of Viet Nam's WTO talks. They also spoke of the situation and prospects of bilateral cooperation, especially in business, education and information technology.
