Government religious officials visit Cambodia
(VNA): A delegation of the Vietnamese Government Committee for Religious Affairs, led by its Director Ngo Yen Thi, is currently on a working visit to Cambodia.
The Vietnamese guests, who will conclude their five-day tour on April 10, have been received by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Lu Lay Sreng.
They held talks with a delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Cult and Religious Affairs, led by Minister Khun Haing. The two sides exchanged experiences in ensuring the people's rights to religious and belief freedom. They agreed on a number of co-ordination measures to promote exchange activities and mutual understanding between the two peoples, including religious believers.
The Vietnamese delegation thanked the Cambodian Royal Government for its policy to facilitate the religious practices of the Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
The delegation also met with the two Buddhist dignitaries representing the two Cambodian Buddhist sects, and with members of the Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
