French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Renaud Muselier visits Viet Nam
(VNA) - French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Renaud Muselier paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan and held talks with Deputy Foreign Minister Le Cong Phung during a three-day working visit to Viet Nam that ended on April 13.
During the visit, Muselier also held working sessions with Deputy Director of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Ta Minh Chau and Deputy Justice Minister Hoang The Lien.
During the meetings, the two sides agreed that bilateral ties in politics, economics, trade, investment, development aid, culture, science-technology, and education and training are developing well.
Both sides stressed the need to further promote bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, health care, education and other fields for mutual benefit.
Muselier spoke highly of Vietnamese people's renewal achievments, the results of President Jacques Chirac's official visit to Viet Nam in October 2004 and Viet Nam's successful hosting of the fifth Asia-Europe (ASEM) meeting.
Vietnamese officials urged the French Government to encourage their entrepreneurs to invest more in Viet Nam.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The meetings took place in an atmosphere of cooperation, friendship and mutual trust./.
