ASEAN ministers meet on government reform
(VNA) - Ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and three dialogue partners including China, Japan and the Republic of Korea on May 26 met in Seoul to exchange experiences and discuss possibilities for co-operation in government reform.
The meeting, the first of its kind, was part of the 6th World Forum on Government Reform.
Vietnamese Interior Minister Do Quang Trung attended the event.
The ministers discussed the establishment of a government reform network in Southeast Asia to boost the exchange of experience and co-operation among regional countries in this matter.
They also touched upon the establishment of international co-operation centres for ASEAN+3 e-governments and ASEAN resources centres in ASEAN member countries and a programme on co-operation in public employee training, especially for countries with a limited capacity to develop an e-government.
