Viet Nam Peace Committee visits China
(VNA): A delegation of the Viet Nam Peace Committee, led by its Vice President Pham Van Chuong, paid a visit to China from June 21-27 at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD).
He Luli, Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, received the delegation.
During a working session with the CPAPD, Vietnamese and Chinese peace activists informed each other of the situation in their own countries and operations of their organisations.
They also discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in the coming time with stress laid on the promotion of mutual understanding between the two peoples. Hosts and guests agreed to strengthen their coordination at international forums.
The Vietnamese delegation expressed deep sympathy to victims of the flood that is ravaging Chinese southern provinces.
It also had a working session with the Chinese Communist Party's International Liaison Department.
