The Lord Mayor of the city of London offers help for Vietnam's capital market
The Lord Mayor of the city of London Alderman Michael Savory said on July 5 that England capital city will do all it can to help Vietnam develop a financial market quickly.
During his meeting with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An in Hanoi, Savory said the goal of his current visit is to promote London's financial and monetary co-operation with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as well as boost investment from Britain into Vietnam in all fields.
Mr Savory made the pledge in response to Chairman An's call for greater assistance to human resources development, technology and legal developent in relevant fields from the world's leading financial centre.
Such assistance is very necessary for Vietnam to create its market economy, speed up its reform in the country's legal, financial and banking systems, and develop its stock market, An said.
This was the second meeting between the Vietnamese chief legislator and the Lord Mayor of the city of London this year. The two first met last March when NA Chairman An visited London./.
