Chilean Embassy opens premises in Ha Noi
(VNA) - The Chilean Embassy officially inaugurated its premises in Ha Noi on July 18.
Officials from the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, diplomatic representatives from Latin American countries and leaders of the Viet Nam-Chile Friendship and Cooperation Association attended the opening ceremony.
Chilean Ambassador to Viet Nam Fernando Ayala described the event as the reopening of a diplomatic agency that was operated in Ha Noi in the 1971-73 period under President Salvador Allende's administration.
Ambassador Fernando went on to say that the opening of the Embassy marks the bolstered presence of Chile in Asia. The Chilean business circles will receive effective assistance from the Embassy to boost cooperation with Viet Nam and China, whose economies are considered the most dynamic and rapidly developing ones in Asia, the Ambassador also said.
