Photo exhibition marking Viet Nam's ASEAN membership opens
(VNA) - A photo exhibition entitled "Viet Nam - ASEAN: 10 years of cooperation and development" opened in Ha Noi on August 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Viet Nam joining the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (July 28).
On display are nearly 100 photos and 20 paintings, created by photographers and artists from ASEAN member countries during the ASEAN Culture Week held in Ha Long city in northeastern Quang Ninh province of Viet Nam in 2004.
Various documents, books and newspapers highlighting friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and other ASEAN members, as well as Viet Nam's achievements in political, economic, commercial, cultural and social fields since the country's accession to the grouping, are also being exhibited.
The show, organised by the Ministry of Culture and Information, will last until August 12./.
