Central Highlands province facilitates operation of Protestant church
(VNA) - Pastor Siu y Kim, from the Executive Board of the General Confederation of the Viet Nam Protestant Church (southern region), said the local authorities in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have offered great consideration and assistance with the operation of the Protestant church.
The pastor, who is in charge of the Protestant churches in the two Central Highlands provinces of Gia Lai and Kon Tum, said he hoped all Protestant pastors and followers will fulfil their obligations to the country and practise their faith in accordance with the Church's guide of "living the Gospel, serving God, the Fatherland, and the Nation."
A total of 23 Protestant church sub-branches have been set up and 10 new pastors have been consecrated in Gia Lai so far. The province has also allowed the Bible Theoretical Seminary to organise training courses for local Protestant followers, and coordinated with the church to open classes for followers to study the Party's policies and the State's laws relating to religions.
