Cooperation between bordering provinces of Viet Nam and Cambodia strengthened

(VNA) - Cambodia's Ratanakiri province and Viet Nam's Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have finely developed their cooperative relations, particularly in the fight against cross-border crimes and human and drug trafficking, said Ratanakiri governor Kham Khuon on September 17.

Viet Nam has pledged to invest in three construction projects, including a dormitory in the town of Ratanakiri, a border market and three schools near the border between Cambodia and Viet Nam, at a total cost of more than 3 million USD, he said.

The authorities of Cambodia's provinces, which share a common border with Viet Nam such as Takeo, Kondal, Svay Rieng, Kompong Cham, Ratanakiri, Kratie, Mondulkiri and Kampot, have also agreed that cooperative relations between the two sides have been strengthened and recorded great achievements.
