Supreme Commander of Royal Thailand army visits Viet Nam
(VNA)- Senior Lieutenant General Phung Quang Thanh, Chief of the General Staff of Viet Nam's People's Army, received General Chaisit Shinawatra, Supreme Commander of Royal Thailand armed forces in Ha Noi on September 19.
Thanh welcomed his guest, saying his visit helps boost the traditional ties between the two people and armed forces of Viet Nam and Thailand. General Chaisit Shinawatra, for his part, thanked the Vietnamese side's hospitality and exchanged views on socio-economic development, the building of the armed forces, and discussed ways to make contributions to regional and international stability and development.
The Thai General also paid a visit to National Defence Minister, General Pham Van Tra.
