Ceremony marks 32nd anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties
Representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Ha Noi, and many Japanese students, officials and experts who are studying and working in Viet Nam attended the function.
Addressing the ceremony, VJFA President Pham Quoc Truong noted that Viet Nam-Japan relations have seen fine developments over the past 30 years. The Japanese Government and people have reserved warm sentiments for the Vietnamese people through practical activities.
Japan's official development assistance (ODA) aid has helped Viet Nam build infrastructure facilities and develop education, and health care services, and sciences and technology. The country has become Viet Nam's largest aid provider in the economic area, Truong said.
As a bridge between the people of the two countries in general and the capitals of Ha Noi and Tokyo in particular, the VJFA has held practical activities to contribute to promoting the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Japan, he added, citing the Dong Anh-Okinawa cultural and economic exchange centre as a highlight in the Viet Nam-Japan friendship.
The Japanese Embassy's representatives thanked the Vietnamese people for their sentiments and expressed their hope that the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Japan will further develop.
Participants to the ceremony also had a chance to enjoy art and traditional martial arts performances, which were presented by the Japanese friends and members of the VJFA.
