Thai legislative official praises Viet Nam's economic achievements
During the meeting, the Thai legislator also said that Thailand is actively helping Vietnamese residents in the country gain Thai citizenship, and that the Government of Thailand strongly supports Viet Nam's bid to join the World Trade Organisation.
Chairman An expressed his pleasure at the fine development of the friendly and cooperative ties in all areas between Viet Nam and Thailand. He spoke highly of the role Thailand has played in the region and the world, and urged Thailand to promote its role in boosting unity and ensuring benefits for the region.
An also said because the two countries have high potential in cooperation, much remains to be done to help the two people better understand each other.
