Currently, Austria is providing two scholarships to Vietnamese students a year and will double the number in the coming period.
The Vietnamese delegation asked Austria to reduce interest rates on official development assistance (ODA) for Viet Nam's educational sector. It called on the Austrian Ministry of Technology to create a scholarship fund for young Vietnamese scientists to study in Austria, and promote scientific and technological exchanges between the two countries. They said the cooperation should focus on vocational training, higher education, and post-graduate training.
