Deputy PM arrives in Siem Reap for conference on border provinces' cooperation

(VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung of Viet Nam arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in the afternoon of September 28 for a conference on reviewing cooperation between the two countries' border provinces.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng welcomed the Vietnamese leader at the airport.

Right after his arrival, Deputy PM Dung held talks with his two Cambodian counterparts, Sar Kheng and Prince Norodom Sirivut. The two Cambodian Deputy PMs expressed joy at the fruitful results in cooperation between the two countries, governments and people living along the Viet Nam-Cambodia common border.

The two sides agreed that they will discuss in details practical solutions that will boost their comprehensive cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment fields as well as in maintaining security and stability in border areas for mutual benefit.

Deputy PMs Sar Kheng and Nguyen Tan Dung will chair the conference on cooperation and the development of Cambodian and Vietnamese border province scheduled for September 29 in Siem Reap./.
