On this great festival, we would like to wish the Chinese brothers and sisters headed by the CPC to continue obtaining even greater accomplishments in the process of socialist building characterised by Chinese features.
"We note with pleasure that over the past year, bilateral ties have gained vigorous and all-sided development in conformity with the "neighbourly friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-lasting stability, and future-oriented thinking" guideline and the "good neighbours, good friends, good comrades, and good partners" spirit. Mutual trust between the two countries has been boosted. Particularly, the visit to China by Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong in July, 2005 and the upcoming visit to Viet Nam by Party General Secretary and President Hu Jintao are important contributions, taking the neighbourly friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and countries to an unprecedented level of development, meeting the two people's aspiration for peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world.
"The Party, State, National Assembly and Government of Viet Nam has consistently acknowledged the traditional neighbourly friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with the Party, State, National People's Congress, Government and people of China, considering it a consistent and long-term policy of great importance to the national development of each country. We firmly believe that with joint efforts by both sides, those ties will be further consolidated and developed."
