Tatarstani leader on visit to boost trade cooperation

(VNA) - The State Council President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mukhamesin, expressed his wish to further boost trade cooperation with Viet Nam while meeting Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan on Oct. 19.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan said President Mukhamesin's current visit marked a milestone in strengthening the friendly cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade.

He also praised the achievements made by Tatarstan's corporations that operate in Viet Nam, with focus placed on the effective cooperation between Kamaz Automobile Corporation and VinaCoal in producing heavy trucks and specialized cars.

President Mukhamesin briefed his host about Tatarstan's economic potential, including machinery manufacturing, oil and gas exploitation and petrochemistry. He stressed that Tatarstani businesses wished to further boost cooperation with their Vietnamese partners./.
