Viet Nam speaks highly of Japanese help in fire fighting

(VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung spoke highly of Japan's assistance to Viet Nam's fire fighting and prevention while receiving the chairman of the Japanese Fire Fighting and Prevention Association, Tokuda Hassaki, in Ha Noi on Oct. 25.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the association's donation of hundreds of fire trucks to Viet Nam, saying they have effectively helped the country.

Dung also briefed his guest about the country's socio-economic achievements in recent years, as well as the effective cooperation in many fields between the two countries.

In addition, he expressed his hope for more donations of necessary equipment, increased consultations and assistance in training firefighter from the association.

For his part, Tokuda Hassaki appreciated Viet Nam's recent socio-economic development, and hoped the aid will help save people's lives as well as property./.
