Vietnamese leaders send National Day greetings to Cambodian counterparts
Messages of greetings were addressed to King Norodom Sihamoni, President of the Senate Samdech Chea Sim, President of the National Assembly Norodom Ranariddh, and Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, respectively.
The same day, Ha Noi's Union of Friendship Organisations and the municipal Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association organised a get-together to mark Cambodia's National Day.
Cambodian Ambassador to Viet Nam Long Kem highlighted the time-honoured solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Cambodia. Those ties, the diplomat added, have been maintained and developed by the two peoples in a firm and progressive way and under the spirit of mutual understanding.
He expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for their assistance to the Cambodian people over the recent past.
Cambodia will do its utmost for comprehensive cooperation, solidarity, friendship and mutual benefit of the two neighbours, Ambassador Long Kem noted.
Also on Nov. 8, Ho Chi Minh City's Union of Friendship Organisations and the municipal Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association held a meeting to celebrate the Cambodian National Day.
In the first six months of this year, Viet Nam earned an export value of 346.3 million USD to Cambodia, up 15 percent year-on-year, and imported Cambodian goods worth 94.8 million USD, a rise of 14 percent compared to the corresponding figure of last year./.
