Vietnamese AO victims' delegation works in France

(VNA)- Former State Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, Honourable President of the Viet Nam Association of Agent Orange Victims (VAVA), met with overseas Vietnamese in France on Dec. 10.

The visit is part of her delegation's activities in Western Europe to garner support for Agent Orange victims and their lawsuit against US chemical firms.

Binh informed the meeting of Viet Nam's achievements in socio-economic development, politics and foreign affairs. She also appealed for support from overseas Vietnamese to AO victims.

At the meeting, Vice President and Secretary General of the VAVA, Tran Xuan Thu, and Vice President of the Viet Nam-France Friendship Association, Trinh Ngoc Thai, spoke of the situation of the Vietnamese AO victims' lawsuit against US chemical companies, and also supporting activities towards AO victims by the government and domestic and international organisations.

The delegation met with Viet Nam friendship organisations in Germany, Belgium, Spain and Switzerland on Dec.8-9 to discuss supporting activities for AO victims in the future./.
