National Assembly Chairman visits Tunisia
The seminar was jointly held by the Viet Nam Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Tunisian Union of Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts, and the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce.
Addressing the event, An said this was a good chance for entrepreneurs of the two countries to meet and discuss a partnership. He said he believed that entrepreneurs would help to boost the economic, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
An emphasised that the two countries target not only to increasing their two-way trade but also coordinating to accelerate the trade and investment relations between the two countries in particular, between regional countries as well as the world in general.
On the same day, An received Tunisian Foreign Minister A. Abdellah and briefed his guest on the one-year implementation of the Programme of Action to promote the Viet Nam-Africa relationship in the 2004-2010 period. He spoke of the Vietnamese NA's support to the Government's efforts in this endeavour and said he hoped the FM would make efforts to intensify the bilateral cooperation.
Tunisian FM Abdellah said his ministry is coordinating with its Vietnamese counterpart to prepare for the formation of commercial and diplomatic representative offices to facilitate cooperation between the two countries.
Tunisia is the second leg of An's ten-day visit to northern African countries, including Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco, which began on Dec. 15./.
