Viet Nam-potential market for Israel

(VNA) - Viet Nam is a promising and attractive market for Israel, said Raanan Dinur, Director General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour of Israel, at a seminar held in Ha Noi on Dec. 21.

Sharing the same opinion with the Director General, Ms Rachel Roei, Director of the Israeli Investment Promotion Centre said Viet Nam has more and more development initiatives in IT, agriculture and irrigation technology, which are Israel's strengths.

The two Israeli officials were speaking about possibilities to increase economic and commercial ties between the two countries.

The two-way trade between Viet Nam and Israel has increased by 25 percent annually, and is expected to reach 90 million USD in 2005, up by 14 million USD over last year.

Viet Nam has mainly exported vegetables, fruit, footwear, garments and textiles, and animal products to Israel and imported chemicals, machinery and plastic products from Israel./.
