Party leader underlines desire to boost ties with RoK
The Party leader expressed his belief that the RoK National Assembly Speaker's visit, which began on Jan. 14, will help promote the two countries' "comprehensive partnership in the 21 st century."
"The two countries have developed cooperative ties in the recent past, particularly in economics, trade, culture, science and technology, and tourism," Party General Secretary Manh said, expressing his hope that the ties would grow in the coming time.
He spoke highly of the outcome of Speaker Kim's talks with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An as well as the results of Kim's meetings with other Vietnamese leaders, noting "these meetings will promote mutual understanding between the two countries."
The Party chief also expressed his wish to welcome more RoK businesspeople to come do business in Viet Nam.
"The RoK will do its utmost to bolster its relations with Viet Nam," Speaker Kim underscored, mentioning specifically the economics, science and technology, culture, and tourism fields.
He said he believed the two countries' partnership will progress steadily in the time to come.
The RoK leader lauded Viet Nam's achievements in the 20-year renewal process and said he hoped to see greater gains for the Vietnamese people in the years to come.
He also expressed his wish that the upcoming tenth Vietnamese Communist Party's Congress would be successful.
At the function, Speaker Kim conveyed President Roh Moo-hyun's New Year greetings and invitation to visit the RoK to Party General Secretarty Nong Duc Manh./.
