Central Highlands salutes congress of ethnic groups

(VNA) - A series of cultural activities are being held until March 31 in the Central Highlands Gia Lai province to welcome the first-ever Congress of Solidarity of Ethnic Groups and the ceremony to receive the recognisation of gong culture as world heritage, both of which will take place in Pleiku city on March 28-29.

The events include a stamp exhibition under the topic "Uncle Ho with 54 ethnic peoples" and a photo exhibition on "Central Highlands with the whole country".

Vietnamese films will dominate the screens in Pleiku city, An Khe town and Ayunpa on these days. Film stars will have get-togethers with moviegoers in Pleiku, workers of the Se San Hydroelectric Power Plant 3, ethnic people in the Ia Mo Nong commune of Chupah district, and students of the Gia Lai Boarding School, the Art and Culture School, and the Pedagogic College.

Also on these days, 15 gong players' groups will parade along main streets of Pleiku city./.
