Press release on the third day of the 10th National Party Congress
On behalf of the Presidium, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Party Politburo member, chaired the morning session, while the afternoon session was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Party Politburo member.
Congress participants heard reports from 19 delegates representing Party organisations of central agencies for the economy, internal affairs, science and education, mass mobilisation, external relations and overseas Party organisations, as well as Party organisations of the Railways, the Public Security, Hai Phong city and the provinces of Thua Thien-Hue, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Quang Binh, Vinh Long, Kon Tum, Ca Mau, Dong Nai, and Tuyen Quang.
Promoting the spirit of democracy and responsibility, delegates engaged in active debate on and expressed concern over, the major issues of the documents, creating an enthusiastic, democratic and open atmosphere during the session.
The Congress was presented with a list of more communist parties and fraternal parties that have sent greetings to the Congress. By April 20, 53 parties had cabled greetings to the 10th Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.(VNA)
