Government submits 12 bills to NA
An appraisal report on the draft law on the donation of human body parts, delivered by Health Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien, made clear that a demand for human tissue and body part transplant is increasing in Viet Nam. The 7 chapter - 36 article bill highlights the respect for the willingness of both donors and receivers of human tissues and parts for humanitarian and non-profit purposes.
The bill also stresses the purposes of medical examinations and treatment, lectures or scientific research. It also guarantees medical and biological ethics and information confidentiality in line with the Constitution and the Civil Code, revised in 2005, as well as socio-economic conditions in Viet Nam.
Minister of Interior Affairs Do Quang Trung presented an appraisal report on a bill on professional associations. The report said the bill was made in the principle of legalising Party regulations and concretising constitutional provisions, creating favourable conditions for activities of associations and strengthening state management over associations. The eight-chapter, 49-article bill addresses outstanding problems and limitations as well as demand for establishment of associations.
Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Hang read an appraisal report on a bill for the amendment and supplementation of articles of the Labour Code. It includes articles on labour strikes and solutions in the interest of both employees and employers, thus developing healthy labour relations and healthy investment environment, said the report./.
