Viet Nam pledges to improve investment environment

(VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stated on July 11 that Viet Nam pledged to improve its investment environment to create more benefits for foreign investors as well as its economic development and international integration.

The Government leader said this is especially necessary after the signing of the second phase of the Viet Nam-Japan Joint Initiative, to improve the business environment with a goal of strengthening Viet Nam's competitiveness.

PM Dung made the commitment while meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam, Norio Hattori, and a Japanese delegation that came to the country for a meeting to discuss the Viet Nam-Japan Joint Initiative.

The PM highly valued the result of the first phase of the initiative, stressing that it actively helped attract foreign investment and improve the investment environment in Viet Nam.

He praised the important contributions of the Japanese Ambassador in implementing the initiative.

Ambassador Hattori said, he would do his best to boost the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He expressed his wish that PM Dung would visit Japan soon./.
