Legislative elite suggest supervision of cabinet pledges

(VNA)- The National Assembly's Standing Committee opened a three-day meeting on July 25, under the chair of NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong, to prepare for the upcoming session, scheduled for late this year.

Senior legislators expressed wishes to hear reports by cabinet members on the progress of the promises they made during the previous NA hearings.

Many said supervision should focus on key issues so as to enable supervisors to go deep into the problem and provide high-quality performances.

Supervisors should give more exact conclusions and feasible solutions, they said.

In the next session, the National Assembly is expected to approve 14 draft laws and one resolution and consider eight other bills. In addition, they will discuss major socio-economic issues./.
