EU helps Viet Nam set up WTO database
Viet Nam will develop a "WTO and market access database" portal with assistance from European experts under the Multilateral Trade Assistance Project II (MUTRAP II).
According to MUTRAP II Director Tran Thi Thu Hang, the Internet-based portal will help direct Vietnamese exporters in foreign markets and serve as a channel for WTO-related information exchange between State agencies and business circles.
Hang said the portal will provide updated WTO-related information, Viet Nam's commitments and documents related to Viet Nam's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and WTO member economies' trade policies towards Viet Nam.
The portal is expected to officially operate in 2007.(VNA)
