National Defence Minister welcomes RoK Naval Commander
National Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Phung Quang Thanh received Admiral Nam Haeil, Naval Commander of the Republic of Korea, in Ha Noi on Aug. 4 during a current visit to Viet Nam.
Sen. Lieut. Gen. Thanh welcomed Admiral Nam Haeil and his entourage, describing their visit as a significant contribution to the friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples and their armed forces.
Admiral Nam Haeil briefed his host about his previous exchange of views with Deputy Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Commander of the Viet Nam People's Navy, on issues of mutual concern and on further proposed measures for cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity in the region as well as the world.
Earlier, Admiral Nam Haeil and his entourage had visited the headquarters of Military Zone 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.(VNA)
