Minister requests closer relationship with Indonesia
While attending a reception marking the 61st National Day of Indonesia (Aug. 17) on Aug. 17 hosted by the Indonesian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Artauli Ratna Tobing, , Minister Hop said he was pleased with recent developments in the two countries' friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
For her part, Ambassador Tobing stressed that friendly ties between Indonesia and Viet Nam have been increasingly developing since the two countries implemented their joint declaration on friendship and comprehensive cooperation in the 21st century, which was signed in 2003.
She said she hopes that the ties will be constantly strengthened in both width and depth, especially in their joint efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
The Indonesian diplomat thanked the Vietnamese Government and people for their valuable spiritual and material support to help Indonesia overcome the aftermath of recent natural calamities.
Ambassador Tobing also expressed her admiration for Viet Nam's rapid development and believed that the country will be able to play a more important role in the international arena in the near future.(VNA)
