Party leader affirms friendly relations with French communists
Receiving the FCP delegation led by its National Secretary Marie George Buffet on Sept. 1, General Secretary Manh said the CPV has attached importance to further fostering the relationship between the two Parties to develop the cooperation between the two nations, for the sake of the two peoples, and for peace, democracy and social progress in the world.
The Party chief congratulated Mme Buffet on her re-election at the 33rd FCP Congress, and expressed thanks to the valuable support that the FCP and French people provided to Viet Nam in the struggle for national liberation in the past as well as to the present national construction and defence.
Mme Buffet congratulated General Secretary Manh on his re-election and spoke of her impressions of Viet Nam's development. She extolled the prestige and role of Viet Nam and the CPV in the world arena, saying that the Vietnamese revolutionary experiences are internationally valuable.
She warmly congratulated the historically significant achievements the CPV and Vietnamese people have obtained during the renovation process, the political stability, the socio-economic development and people's improved living conditions.
She said her party respected and exerted all efforts to develop the traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the CPV, in order to boost the relationship between the two countries in the new period.(VNA)
